My husband and I are working on H1B visa.My husband has filed for Green card..
Now my question is at what stage in my husdband's Green card process, will I be eligible for the visa extension
if 6 years on H1B are over??
None. to extend your H1 you need your own employment-based-GC process. But if you have alreayd filed I-485, you dont need an H1, you can continue working on an EAD based on his green card process.
If I also file for the green card, I get labor cleared and just in case I lose the job.Then what options I have

If the old company not revoked, you can travel with that old I 797.
If you get an approval from your new employer when u r ome country, better ask your employer to send it to you, so that you will get I-94 with new date on it...
In port of entry they will ask for your H1 Docs and your work location if it is consulting company or client letter, in some cases may be more docs like W2's...

I know for a fact that you cannot count current employer exp for GC.
You can use experience with the same employer, but not in the same position as you note next.
If i start working for the same employer on 15-1031.00 Computer Software Engineers, Applications , is it more than 50% different in role so i can count my 3 years experience when applying my GC ??
Nobody could tell just by looking at the DOT job descriptions. Your actual job and duties are what is important, not any DOL codes or descriptions. if your duties in the 2 jobs are 50% different, you should be able to use the experience.

With a one-year residency requirement in Georgia, with an H-1 visa, you should qualify for in-state tuition.
It worked in our case, but that was a couple of years ago.
In all the big ones like GA Tech, UGA and GSU, the admissions counsellors and the registrar's office are pretty clued into this issue.

From what I read in the article they are talking about chaging 'the place of incorporation' from Bermuda to Ireland to avoid paying higher taxes through the proposed tax legislation ...dosent't talk about relocating all operations to Ireland

The important thig is the period since yoour last admission to the US before July 2007.
Say you entered in Apr 2007 then you would not have accumulated 180 days of unauthourized stay in US before filling 485 and you will be OK.

I have recently recieved approval for I-140. With no surprise, employer denies to share the copy. I am planning to file FOIA to get the copy. Questions I have :
1. Can I file for FOIA even if my I-485 is not filed?
2. Reason to ask 1. is, Form G-639 requires Alien Registration Number (A#) which I believe, one can get only after filing I-485. Please correct me if I am wrong.
3. If I am right, Can I file FOIA without Alien#?
